Expertise: HVAC (installation, retrofitting, sizing, troubleshooting, diagnosing), plumbing.
Also great at: Remodeling (kitchen, bathroom).

My name is Bob. I’ve been involved in the Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning business for most of my working life. I’m now semi-retired and spend most of my working time helping do-it-yourselfers and industry professionals with their projects and problems.

For homeowners, I can help with your kitchen and bath remodels, repairs to your plumbing, heating, and cooling systems, and can be a resource for unbiased advice when retrofitting or replacing the heating and air conditioning system in your home.

Did you know that most heating and cooling systems are over-sized for their applications? The industry standard for sizing HVAC systems is ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors Association) Manual J, S and D. I have instructed contractors and building inspectors how to properly design and size a system. Whether you live in Maine or Arizona, Florida or Oregon, ACCA Manual J is the standard for system design.

For contractors and service technicians, I worked in the greater New York City area as a technical support for Trane and Daikin systems from residential to commercial.

Whether you have a standard residential split system, packaged roof-top unit or the newer variable refrigerant flow products, if you’re stuck, I can help. I hold a Master Plumbers License (retired) and an HVAC License (also retired) from the State of New Jersey.
